Carolyn 2025 Spirit of Dancing CEOs Award Winner
As part of her milestone 60th birthday celebrations, Carolyn took on a remarkable challenge—to complete 6 courageous activities outside of her comfort zone! This included taking to the stage at Brisbane City Hall for Dancing CEOs 2025, raising funds for the work of Women’s Legal Service Qld with women and children impacted by domestic violence - a cause that is close to her heart from her own personal life's journey.
Dancing CEOs is an award-winning charity gala that brings Queensland’s top executives and leaders to the dance floor in front of corporate Queensland, all for a greater cause - domestic violence prevention and support.
Carolyn undertook a tireless fundraising and awareness raising campaign supported by her family and community, all in aid of WLSQ. Her efforts included speaking at events, organising sing along fundraisers and performances, raffles and an innovative partnership with Clean Up Australia in which clean ups during May received matched funding from the Ubuntu Foundation.
Carolyn not only raised wide awareness for the work of WLSQ but also an incredible $119,962, playing a key role in the $885,460 raised from Dancing CEOs 2025 . Her unstoppable commitment earned Carolyn the 2025 Spirit of Dancing CEOs award.
Funds raised by Carolyn and the 2025 Dancing CEOs will enable additional social work support for WLSQ clients, volunteer program support and more free legal services for women experiencing violence.
Carolyn’s participation in Dancing CEOs aligned with her mission to not only raise funds for a crucial cause but also to live out her values of stepping into the unknown, helping others, and making meaningful connections along the way.
