Brisbane Powerhouse

The Ubuntu Foundation and Brisbane Powerhouse have always shared a strong commitment to community, culture, and the arts. Their connection began in 2022 when Ubuntu CEO Carolyn Vincent and Brisbane Powerhouse CEO Louise Bezzina first worked together through Brisbane Festival. They quickly discovered a shared vision for bringing people together through meaningful cultural experiences.

Together, Carolyn and Louise co-created the Moorooka Block Party, which celebrates its fifth year in 2026. The event has become a much-loved community gathering, showcasing local talent, diversity, and connection.

Carolyn's significant contribution to Brisbane's cultural community has also been recognised by Brisbane Powerhouse through the naming of the Carolyn Vincent Foyer. Today, the partnership between Brisbane Powerhouse and the Ubuntu Foundation continues to create opportunities for connection, celebration, and belonging across Brisbane.
